It may feel like winter outside... But summer is just around the corner! You are receiving this message because you have applied to participate in a Taglit-Birthright Israel trips with Israel Free Spirit in the past. Don't Be Left in the Cold. Be Prepared! Registration for May, June, July, and August 2010 free Taglit-Birthright Israel trips opens at 12pm EST on Tuesday, February 16th for returning applicants.  Mark you calendar now. Be sure to start your risk-free registration at www.israelfreespirit.com in order to claim your priority trip assignment status with Israel Free Spirit. NOTE: For new applicants, registration opens 12pm EST on Wednesday, February 17th at at www.israelfreespirit.com.  How Does Registration Actually Work?? Registration works in a few stages. Please read this carefully! STAGE #1. The Primary ApplicationFirst, you will need to fill out Taglit-Birthright Israel's Primary Application where you will be asked to select what kind of trip you prefer and what month of travel you prefer. Be sure to select  OU-Israel Free Spirit as your program provider (Why Israel Free Spirit?). You will also be asked to submit a $250 refundable trip deposit. Your application will only be considered complete once you have submitted the refundable deposit.  STAGE #2. The Secondary Application Within a few hours of completing the Primary Application, you will receive an email invitation to complete the Secondary Application on the Israel Free Spirit website. On the Secondary Application you will be able to view and choose actual Summer 2010 trip dates in May, June, July and August. Here you can also let us know if you wish to travel with a friend.   STAGE #3. Eligibility Interview & Trip AssignmentsOnce you complete the Primary and Secondary Application we will notify you about scheduling a phone based interview. Actual trip assignments will happen in mid-March. What If the Trip I Want Is "Waitlisted"? [READ THIS] Depending on what time you register, you may notice some trip are "waitlisted" in the Primary Application. If you choose a waitlist trip, you will not be able to initially submit the trip deposit. DO NOT BE ALARMED!   Israel Free Spirit treats EVERYONE who registers at ANY TIME on February 17th exactly the same way -- even if you are not allowed to submit a deposit because the trip you want is "waitlisted". If this happens to you, just be sure to join the waitlist so your application is complete on time!   So long as you fully complete the Primary Application on February 17th you will be treated equally!   Show Me the Trip Dates Now!! We would love to! But according to Taglit-Birthright Israel rules we can not post actual trip dates till you have completed your Primary Application. So long as you are sure to choose OU-Israel Free Spirit, you will get an email invitation to our Secondary Application where you can view the options and select your top-10 trip date choices. As of now, Yeladim trips are scheduled for August, but we may have more options once registration closes.   What Are My Chances of Getting ON??  Good news! This coming summer Taglit-Birthright Israel will be substantially increasing the number of available trip spots.
